I N H A L E | E X H A L E

There are those moments where the funk of others can really seep into your soul and break down your shine a little bit.
We are all so highly strung at the moment that it is easy to feel like our overwhelm is all-consuming, imagine how amplified that feels when we all radiate the same frustration.

The global crisis, unemployment fears, the constant lingering of fear that we now call our “new normal” is exhausting. I love an easy breathing exercise that anyone can do to release negative energy.

Find a comfortable, quiet place to lie down in.
Use headphones to block out outside noises and distraction. I like having Insight Timer counting me down with sound healing but feel free to use whatever meditation app works for you.
Place a heavy book on your stomach and get really familiar with the sensation of the breath.

Using the book as a guide, focus on how it feels as the book rises during an inhale. And how it feels releasing the breath and feeling the book weigh down on your stomach.

Do this for a few deep breaths.

Add an affirmation on the inhale to breathe in positivity like “I am worthy,” “I am enough.”

Be kind to yourself, you don’t have to have it all figured out all of the time.
